Building a self-sustainable society for the marginalized rural poor
Heaven Touch Mission was registered on 12th December 2013 (Registration No. 155/2013) under the Indian Trusts Act, with its office at Aadhiparasakthi Nagar, Kadakkinaru, Madurai District, Tamil Nadu.
The trust was founded by Mr. D. Ramkumar, who spent over 15 years in the banking sector before moving into full-time social work. His years of banking experience exposed him closely to the financial and educational struggles of economically disadvantaged families in and around Madurai — an experience that shaped Heaven Touch Mission's founding purpose.
Since then, the trust has run non-formal education drives, elderly welfare programs, health awareness camps, livelihood support and women's self-help group initiatives across villages near Madurai, working with a five-member Board of Trustees and a growing base of volunteers and well-wishers.
To build a self-sustainable society for the marginalized rural poor.
To empower the poor and marginalized rural community towards sustainable development through education, training, healthcare and livelihood programs.
Mr. Ramkumar Danaraj, aged 45, is the Founder and Managing Trustee of Heaven Touch Mission, a registered non-governmental organization established in 2013 under the Indian Trusts Act. Born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, he holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Marketing.
With over 15 years of professional experience in the banking sector, Mr. Ramkumar built a strong foundation in finance, customer service and community engagement. During his banking career, he became increasingly aware of the struggles faced by economically disadvantaged families in securing financial assistance, educational opportunities and healthcare support.
Driven by a strong sense of social responsibility, he transitioned from the corporate sector to the development sector, founding Heaven Touch Mission with a clear objective — to uplift the underprivileged through education, economic empowerment and healthcare assistance.
Beyond his NGO work, Mr. Ramkumar has facilitated financial loans for over 500 individuals over the past 15 years, working with leading institutions such as ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, SBI and Canara Bank to help marginalized individuals and small entrepreneurs access credit. He is also a committed blood donor, having personally donated blood more than 20 times to critically ill patients.
Under his leadership, Heaven Touch Mission continues to run grassroots programs and outreach initiatives in collaboration with government bodies and private-sector partners.
